My Attire: Poncho (similar), Eloquii, Nordstrom
I was back on AM Northwest today sharing a few holiday tips and style inspirations. Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day there are a number of holiday parties and events to attend. Your clothing options and choices can get a bit overwhelming. Since you’re likely to get a slew of invitations to office parties, home parties and church gatherings, it’s important to remember a few things. Always remember proper party etiquette as well as the appropriate attire for the location and occasion.
Here are a few considerations.
Dressing for Holiday Events
Model’s Attire: Chico’s, Nordstrom, White House Black Market
Family Dinner or Home Holiday Party
Comfort is key when attending an event in the home. However, feel freel to ditch the ugly holiday sweater for something more chic, sophisticated, and festive. Pair a dark denim jean with a sequin sweater or a red velvet skinny pant with a silk blouse. Wear the outfit a paired with sequined pumps, velvet flats, or patent leather booties. You’ll be both comfortable and stylish.
The Office Party
The key word in this phrase is “office.” Be respectful of yourelf and your colleagues and refrain from using this as the time to express your sexy side. Go for something with class and elegance and let that be what they remember you for. Pair a sequined pant with a silk top and lightweight topper in winter white or gold. Or change out your regular skirt or blazer with a velvet version.
New Year’s Eve
You have a bit for lattidue on New Year’s Eve to go all out bling. However, instead of going for your typical little black dress, try to wear something with a pop of color. Pick a color that compliments your eyes, hair, or skin tone and watch the reactions. Again sexy does not mean exposed, so show off your sexy curves in a form fitting dress with an exposed shoulder or back.
