Change Your Self-Talk, Change Your Life

Every second of the day, you are affirming some “truths” to yourself. Many of those affirmations are negative “truths” that, consequently, affect your happiness in a bad way. That is because what you affirm the most you believe and when you believe all the negative things you say to yourself, your day and your life suffer for it.

Daily positive affirmations are a fabulous way to improve your self-talk. Since we have over 80,000 thoughts in one day, it’s quite possible that many of them are negative. In fact, studies have shown that women can find 22 things they dislike about themselves when they look in the mirror each morning. Positive affirmations can counteract negative self-talk and actually change your life.

If you’re going to start the practice of using positive affirmations, it’s important that you commit to doing it for at least 30 days. If you suffer from low self-esteem and negative self-talk your unconscious mind will challenge this new positivity. However, what you think about you bring about, so stay with it. Ultimately, you’ll retrain your brain to not only accept these affirmations but you’re behavior will start to change as well. Words have life, so start wielding them in ways that will improve your life.

I’m sharing a great article below that provides 35 Affirmations That Will Change Your Life. It makes a great case for positive self-talk and using your words to manifest what you want in your life. If you don’t have or use positive affirmations, choose a few from this article. Let’s all practice positive affirmations.

Live, laugh, and unapologetically shine,
