I love the versatility of denim! Classic dark denim is on trend this season, which I’m so happy to see. I’ve never been a fan of the torn distressed look because it just looks messy and unkept. Look for classic dark denim dresses and skirts in a variety of patterns, cuts and styles in stores. I’m loving Lane Bryant’s Tighter Tummy Technology line and find them to be one of the MOST comfortable pair of jeans I own. The waist sits a little higher so no muffin tops and the stretchy fabric makes them very comfortable. You are going to need to go a size smaller with these jeans because there’s a lot of give.

Now, here’s 3 easy ways to take your denim up a notch:

1. Pull out that Statement Pearl Necklace – Pearls pair fabulously with denim and gives it such a classy and upscale look. Add your own pearls or K&R’s Practical Pearls Necklace and wear them on top of your shirt. I also love the bold statement cocktail pearl ring.

2. Rock your “Shooties” – The “shootie” is half high heel and half ankle bootie giving you a new slightly dressy shoe. These particular shoes by Nine West adds such sophistication to this look; and the shoe transitions nicely from winter to spring.

3. Go glam with a Faux Fur Vest – Fur has always been a symbol of elegance and refinement and by adding a faux fur vest to a classic dark denim you’re adding the same air of luxury.

Have fun dressing your denim and share your glam shots with others here! And if you like this post SUBSCRIBE and let me know what other topics you’d like to see covered!
